Read my Qur'an swearing pink pouting lips: If C4 is not explosive enough and can be covered up, mere couple of millions is not explosive at all. This is sheer exageration by disloyal subversive elements. Yen Yen is one of my favorite chics from the Melayu Chicken Assoc. Her portly stature resembles my beloved Ro$mak more and more, sigh, but nuff said but I digress. We need to look after our pet chickens, even tho these pet chicks sometimes forget their pecking orders. This is definitely not fowl play in all sense of the word but someone just out to make a couple of ringgits for some chicken rice. Semua-nya OK! Al-UMNOdollarlah!

The sad fact of the matter is that the judiciary is in such a tattered state, Mirza's fate depend on whether his case comes up before an upright judge or a compromised one!!
Yes, RPK has also informed those who read Mtoday , Mirza's uprightness is the cause of his troubles now -beginning with Azalina, now this Yen Yen.
That's the state of our country now, the righteous officers are framed while the corrupt ones laugh all the way to the bank!!

When the 1st charge came up about a year ago, I put in a few comment on MT supporting Mirza as I have always known him to be one of those rare BN nominee that is beyond corruption but was censored by the majority of other MT commentators, if not all of them. Where are all you detractors now? Why the change of opinion? Could it have something to do with RPK's report on this issue?

People, do remember that not all BN supporters are crooks (though the majority in power are) and neither are all Pakatan reps trustworthy.

Actually I am not surprise that Ng Yen Yen, Azalina, Tengku Mansor and many more ministers were involved in corruption. We all know how much a minister earn. It don't take a genius to establish whether they are corrupted or not. When investigating them, include their love one as well. Nobody suddenly become rich like that.

The problem with the present BN government is that they appear to condone such action. Look at those obvious case. Khir Toyol with his mansion. Mike tyson with his two million ringgit cash carried to Australia. None of them were charged and prosecuted. Looke at government procurement, no open tender certainly lead to corruption. Everyone beginning to think it is their God given right to take tax payers money. I do not think they even feel guilty about it.

Many years ago, more than 10+ yrs ago, my friends and I actually joined MCA and helped with slogans, elections etc, we were so proud to be working under this lady called Ng Yen Yen. Back then she was like a real big thing for small fry like us. It took us half a year to realise how corrupted politics are even at the lower levels of MCA. Disgusted, we left MCA for good and wow, does she looked much fatter now :p

Ng Y Y bitch has no end to her greed. She has been trying to compete her son with Jho Low for looting the Rakyat's coffers. Look at the pavilion built in Beijing , it is disgrace to our country, Don't be surprised if her son is in pimping business as well, with all the chinese women who are brought as 'tourists' and 'students' . May be our Najib is 'serviced' as well by the 'chjna women' who are brought in to promote 'tourism ' ? No wonder she gets millions alloted to her ministry when the education and health of the Nation is neglected . She is 'promoting' prostitution in the name of Tourism. Let us pray that her husband [ if one is available ] and B son land up with AIDS for cheating the taxpayers .

In corruption, the hand that gives is as guilty as the hand that receives. The problem of corruption in Malaysia started with two kinds of people, the ones with the money and the ones with none and are lazy and tempted by money. The temptation started with gomen clerks and RM10 for file to go on top. Eventually the ones who were lazy and easily tempted were getting educated by the ones with money in the ways of easy cari makan. Thank you for the lesson, taukeh!. Slowly and surely, they begin to get smarter and realise they can manipulate the ones with the money by using the system and play their game. No more were the ones who were lazy goin to be satisfied with peanuts offered, they wanted more.. they wanted millions. So they flexed their political muscles and used and abused them. Now its politicians and RM10******* for contracts. Today, the ones with money are fed up and crying foul. Now they want equality and transparency. Not for the sake of justice and fairplay but cause they are tired of being robbed on a daily basis. End of story. This will definite bite for some but I don't give a F**k if you vote me down. This is reality check lesson No.1. More to come soon.

Looking in totality of the Ministry of Tourism, it was during the time of Tgk Adnen Tgk Mansor that the corruption stated or even long before. ThE talk of the town was he had this WP MP that thought him how to create the opportunity to make money. One god example the development of the Labuan International Sea Sport cost the tax-payer RM35Mil. It's more than 10 years and Labuan still does not attract any tourist. Other than those from the family of the Australian who fell during the 2nd World War. There were so many white Gajah around the country that were built by Tourism ministry that does not bring income and business to the locals. What about the project Pulau Layang-Layang, Pearl of the Orient so on and so forth.
When PR take ovee these should also be taken into account for investigation.

Minister Implicated

Explosive charge: Tourism D-G framed, minister implicated

By FMT Staff

KUALA LUMPUR: A startling allegation has surfaced concerning the second corruption charge slapped on Tourism Malaysia director-general Mirza Mohammad Taiyab - he is being persecuted for being clean as a whistle.
According to a blogger, the charge could be related to a RM600 million contract he had declined to approve for a company linked to Tourism Minister Dr Ng Yen Yen's son.

Mirza is chairman of the Tender Board and strangely enough the closing date for the worldwide advertising tender was on Tuesday, the day after he was hauled to court.

Quoting sources, a posting on the “Another Brick In The Wall” blog claimed that Mirza had been a thorn on Ng's side since being reinstated to his former position as D-G after his first acquittal.

He had purportedly rejected projects and proposals (approved by the minister) which he had deemed a waste of funds and declined to sanction payments that reeked of corruption.

The clincher apparently was the recent Tourism Development Corporation (TDC) worldwide advertising tender for which he refused to consider awarding a company allegedly linked to Ng’s son.

The blogger claimed that the minister and her son were aiming for a “total sapu (sweep)… and Mirza was getting in the way!”

“But this time round MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) better get it right .. they better not lose the second time to the same person because it will be not only be embarrassing to them but it will taint their reputation,” he added.

In July 2009, Mirza was acquitted by the Sessions Court of a charge of accepting dental implant treatment worth RM13,860 in 2005 after the person who instructed the dentist not to collect payment from Mirza owned up.

“Otherwise, he would have been victimised for being in the way of the then minister of tourism, Azalina Othman Said. Mirza is a man with a clean reputation. No ministry staff has any complaint against him.

“And neither is there any grumbling against him for corruption or abuse of power. He is known as a straight arrow to both staff and industry players,” read the posting.

Charged with CBT

On Monday, Mirza pleaded not guilty to a charge of criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving RM888,000.

He was jointly charged with former Pempena Sdn Bhd chief operations officer Mohammad Rosly Md Selamat, 56, who also claimed trial.

Pempena is a failed subsidiary of Tourism Malaysia.

Mirza and Rosly are charged with committing the offence at the Pempena office in the Putra World Trade Centre here on Feb 27, 2007.

They are accused of paying RM888,000 to LCL Interior LCL Dubai for a project to build a restaurant in Dubai even though the project did not fulfil the necessary requirements.

According to the blogger, back in 2007, Mirza was a member of the Pempena board by virtue of being the D-G. He was also an authorised cheque signatory for Pempena.

But things weren’t all good between Pempena and Mirza who disapproved Pempena’s decision to finance the Dubai restaurant.

Despite his objections, the blogger said, the Pempena board of directors had approved the budget.

“He unwillingly signed the disbursement cheque which was squandered away by the recipient company but did not deliver the assigned work. It is claimed that the company was connected to the then tourism minister, Leo Micheal Toyad,” said the blogger.

The Auditor-General’s Report 2008 reported that Pempena did not generate any return on its investment after some RM41.7 million was pumped in the company.

Sodomy 11 Reserve Judgment

Sodomy II: Court reserves judgment on Anwar's appeal

PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court reserved its decision on Anwar Ibrahim's appeal against the Court of Appeal and High Court's decisions which dismissed the opposition leader's application to obtain the witness statements including that of star witness Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan. Chief Judge of Malaya Arifin Zakaria deferred the judgment after hearing the submissions of Anwar's counsel Karpal Singh, and Solicitor-General II Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden, who is leading the prosecution in the Anwar's sodomy trial.

In today's proceedings, Arifin headed the three-men bench with two other Federal Court judges, James Foong and Md Raus Shariff.

In his submission, Karpal Singh said that the defence should be given access to Mohd Saiful's cautioned statement, saying the defence had a "hunch" that he might have told police that the alleged sexual act was consensual, and that he, therefore, contradicted himself at the trial by testifying in court that it was non-consensual.

"We need his statement in order to impeach him and we if we succeed, that's the end of the matter and it would be pointless for the prosecution even if they produce a million witnesses to prove a case against Anwar," Karpal Singh said.

Karpal said the Court of Appeal was wrong when it ruled that the court had no jurisdiction to hear and determine the appeal, and in concluding that the appeal was an interlocutory appeal and occurred during the trial.

"The judges had seriously misdirected themselves by not holding that the appeal was not an interlocutory appeal but in fact the High Court order was a final order which disposes of the rights of parties and therefore appealable," added Karpal.

On June 25, Court of Appeal judges, Justices Sulong Matjeraie, Ramly Ali and Zaharah Ibrahim held that they did not have the jurisdiction to hear and entertain the appeal because the High Court's ruling on that matter was not a final order which had the effect of finally determining the rights of the party.

The three-man bench dismissed the opposition leader's appeal and upheld the High Court's decision delivered on May 12, this year, which denied him access to Mohd Saiful's police statement.

Proper grounds

Anwar wanted all statements, including that of Mohd Saiful, claiming that there were contradictions between Mohd Saiful's testimony adduced in the trial, and the sodomy charge framed against him (Anwar), which he said, could lead to a possible impeachment of Mohd Saiful's credibility.

The 63-year-old Permatang Pauh MP claimed that Mohd Saiful had testified that the alleged sodomy took place without his consent, but he (Anwar) was charged under Section 377B of the Penal Code with consensual sexual intercourse.

Karpal also wanted the Apex Court to rule on what constituted a final order within the definition of "decision" in Section 3 of the Courts of Judicature Act 1964.

Meanwhile, Yusof submitted that the Court of Appeal had no jurisdiction to hear the matter because whatever ruling made by the High Court during the trial was not a final order and that parties could still appeal at the end of the trial.

Yusof also reiterated that the Attorney-General had the power to decide in which section it could charge a person.

In Anwar's case, he said, it was not really an issue whether the charge was under Section 377B or 377C, saying it was more for the prosecution to establish that carnal intercourse had taken place.

Earlier, Karpal insisted that the Court of Appeal had yet to hand down the proper grounds for its dismissal of Anwar's appeal, saying what the court had were just broad reasons.

Yusof said the grounds of judgment were stated in the "broad reasons" and that there was no necessity for another judgment.

"It's just matter of terminology used and we are saying that the grounds of judgment are already here and the court should go on with the appeal proceedings," added Yusof.

After a brief stand down, Arifin said the bench agreed with Yusof and ordered both parties to submit on the merit of the appeal.

Yusof Nor: Saya tidak mahu layan publisiti murahan Sivarasa

August 20, 2010
KUALA LUMPUR, 20 Ogos — Tan Sri Mohd Yusof Nor menyifatkan Naib Presiden PKR Sivarasa Rasiah sengaja mencari “publisiti murahan” kerana terus mendesak agar mendedahkan pendapatan yang diterima selaku Pengerusi Felda.
